Focus Pro - UK Border Agency Attendance Monitoring

The UK Border Agency (UKBA) have introduced a new requirement stating that any institute of higher education wishing to sponsor international students on their courses must have applied for a licence to recruit temporary migrants by March 2009. As a licenced sponsor, both colleges and universities have to follow terms and conditions of the licence set up by immigration control. These include:

• Maintaining any appropriate accreditation
• Keeping copies of all student passports
• Keeping up-to-date contact details for students
• Informing the UKBA if a student has any unauthorised absences, fails to enrol on their course or stops their studies

Calendar & Availability Screens

See at a glance when a student has been absent. You can record specific reasons of absence such as sickness, university holiday, work placement from this screen. Group absences can be booked for a number of students in the availability screen also. 

Timesheet's

Keep track on all your student's movements. The timesheet's record all the clocking's made by your students during the day and calculates the amount of time they have been on-site. The system even records if the student is late on-site to a scheduled appointment should this be a required function.

Exceptions Management Facility

Quickly identify occasions when a student forgets to clock, when the student is absent but was expected on-site and when a student has been on-site for less or more time than expected. 

Reporting

The Absence Periods Report is particularly useful for fulfilling the UKBA requirements for tracking international student attendance as it will enable the user to produce a report of all students who have been absent for 10 consecutive days or more.
