A Typical Net2 Solution
| The access control system is administered from the PC using the Net2 software. Users can be added, reports created and much more. A communications converter device connects directly to the serial port of the Net2 PC or the local area network can be used direct. This connects the control units with the PC. A control unit is required for every door and is able to permit or deny access to users without communication to the PC. 1 or 2 readers can be fitted to each door. A wide range of readers are compatible with Net2 including proximity, magstripe, keypads and biometric. Any push to exit button can be used. The control unit has voltage free relay contacts. This means that Net2 is capable of operating any type of electric lock. |  |

Cards or keyfobs are supplied in packs of 10. The tokens are supplied in packs of ten. Each token is programmed with an 8 digit unique number. Self adhesive discs are available that can turn any card into a proximity token - these are very cost effective. To issue a token the users details are entered using the PC software. The token number is then entered by presenting the token to the desktop reader. Once programmed into the software the token is ready for use. Simply present the token to a reader, the access permissions will be instantly looked up and access granted or denied as appropriate. |

P-Series Proximity Reader A small, unobtrusive
proximity reader that connects directly to the door
control unit. It incorporates LEDs to indicate accepted or rejected access
attempts. Available in black or white.

Metal Proximity Reader Especially suitable for installation onto metal door frames,
car park reader posts etc...
this rugged reader has a cast metal housing with a satin chrome finish making it look the part.

Magnetic Stripe Readers

Black Plastic Magstripe Reader Suitable for external use and easy to install. A good value reader. Available in black only.

Metal Magstripe Reader This magstripe reader is for use with Paxton Net2 or Switch2 and most other access control systems. The reader is supplied with a satin chrome finish, metal housing. Additional covers are available.

Keypads
|
Touchlock K series Keypads The keypads are supplied with a choice of black or white bezels. They are also available as a tough stainless steel version.

Other Equipment
|
Push-to-Exit button A simple sprung push-button used to release the lock for a pre-configured amount of time. Available in various sizes and styles. |

Emergency Break-glass Switch Used to provide a means of unlocking the door from the inside without the reliance on electronic circuitry. Upon breaking the glass, the internal switch is opened and the power to the lock is dropped. With few exceptions, we always insist on installing such a device to every controlled door. |

Electric Key Switch In case of malfunction or damage to the equipment, a Key Switch can be installed to provide an alternative means of unlocking the door from outside. This is normally only required if there is no other method of accessing the inside of the door - where the system can be disabled. |

Electric Lock Electric locks are available in many formats including Rim Locks, Magnetic Locks and Shear Locks. Depending upon type, a lock can be either fail open (fail safe) where constant power is required to hold the lock closed, or fail closed (fail secure) where power is only required to open the lock. Employee Access Cards & Fobs Depending upon the reader selected, credit card sized proximity or magnetic stripe ID cards are required to be distributed to your personnel. Alternatively proximity keyfobs are available (as shown). |
